“”Dear Dr. Knowlton and Staff,
I wanted to thank you and your staff for the caring and personal service you gave to Jeanne at her last visit. I would assume she gets the same attention every time she comes to your office and it was quite impressive to me. I have never seen such attention and honor given to her at any other medical or other appointment I’ve taken her to – and there have been many! I’ve enclosed a note I sent to all our family regarding her care at your office.
Thanks so much for your medical and personal care.”

And here is the note their family forwarded on to their own family and friends:
“I just wanted to share with you an incident that happened with Jeanne Marie today that was quite amazing to me. she had a regular dental check up with a dentist she has been seeing since we moved to Elizabethtown, Dr. Knowlton – a long standing dentist, about 55 years old. She did not know I was coming to the appointment, which I rarely do. The staff all knew her by name and as they each saw her they greeted her and spoke to her. She saw a new hygienist who was very patient with her. When the doctor came in she told him she was making those rubber band bracelets and he asked to see hers. He asked about her making them and she said she was making them and selling them for $1 so that she could buy her supplies. He casually asked how many she had made, etc., and she pulled out a ziploc bag with about 40 bracelets of all different colors and several styles. He said he might want to buy one, and in fact did choose a blue & white PSU colored one. He than announced that he wanted to buy one for each of his staff – for a total of 8 and they had her lay them all out on the counter and each person came in and chose one. When she was ready to leave the came back out and asked if she made special order ones, becuase he wanted one with the Ireland coulors for his daughter. She said she did and he suggested that he pay her double ($2) since it was a special order. She made a total of $10. That in itself was was pretty amazing, but what impressed me most was the interest that all took in her and the way they treated here, with honor and respect. I have taken her to MANY doctor appointments in her life, and have not see such kind treatment of her ever. Just thought you would want to know that.
P.S. He also gave out poinsettia plants to all his patients, so I got one.”
